Morning and Evening Classes

Pre School
Designed for the young who are just a little bit too young to start, but who are old enough to gain an insight into the world of music. They will learn about different instruments and basic rhythms through fun & games.

Adult Classes
This evening class is designed to teach adults how to read music. This class will be of benefit to adults in choirs and orchestras all over the county.

Adult Retired
A class designed for the retired adult who has always wanted to learn about music and its development. This class starts from musicology to the timeline of renaissance, baroque, classical, jazz, impressionistic and popular music. In a relaxed atmosphere, the adult can learn within his or her own pace with open discussion.

Foreign Students
A specific Summer Camp will be run for our visiting foreign students. This is an ideal opportunity for the many visiting students to learn about Irish music and culture.

The theme of this years entry was "The Ghosts of the Great Musicians Haunt the Mayo School of Music". For the fourth year in a row the school win first prize in its category. A great day was had by all.
